Lymphatic Drainage

Treatment times are of full duration instead of shortened “spa” hours or time limits placed by insurance companies on occupational or physical therapy visits. At times, our session may go a little past the allotted time in order to get in a full, focused treatment.

I utilize the Vodder technique and am certified through Klose Training. MLD involves a very light touch that should never be painful, and it is effective for lipedema, lymphedema, preop, postop and cancer clients, for detoxing and general health, and is useful in healing from cosmetic surgery.

Please leave all jewelry and other valuable items at home. Please remove necklaces and earrings for lymphatic work, as the neck, décolleté, and ears need to be accessible for this type of massage.

Please hydrate well prior your session, after the session, and on the following day, as this will help hydrate fascia, improve energy levels, and support the liver and kidneys in flushing out toxins. Please avoid caffeine and large meals before any session.

Lymphatic drainage requires skin-to-skin contact to be effective. Underwear is left on, or swimwear or athletic wear can be worn. Clients are covered with a sheet during the session and a blanket as needed. Privacy is always maintained.

60 Minutes — $85

Manual lymph drainage involves a light touch which encourages the movement of lymph fluid away from swollen areas toward working lymph nodes. I utilize the Vodder technique and am certified through Klose Training. MLD is effective for lipedema, lymphedema, preop, postop and cancer clients, for detoxing and general health, and is useful in healing from cosmetic surgery.

60 Minutes — $115

MLD encourages the movement of lymph fluid away from swollen areas toward working lymph nodes. When paired with MLD, Deep Oscillation® therapy* helps mechanically break up and mobilize protein-rich fluid more effectively than manual massage alone. DOT also softens hard fibrotic tissue and calms local inflammatory markers to reduce pain signals. Combining MLD with DOT is a highly-effective approach in treating lipedema and lymphedema.

*Those with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, or a history of seizures, cannot receive DOT.

90 Minutes — $115

These sessions combine MLD with reflexology for a more holistic approach in mobilizing the lymphatic system. A specialized lymphatic protocol is utilized which integrates hand and foot reflexes and aids the function of the lymphatic system. Sessions are customized to your needs.

90 Minutes — $105

These sessions include scar release therapy.* To increase circulation and lymph movement in a scarred area, therapy is performed prior to MLD. Several methods of scar release – cross-fiber friction, negative pressure, and/or microcurrent (no needles) – are applied to fibrotic scar tissue. Scar release is particularly helpful with scarring from caesarean section or hysterectomy.

*Those with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, or a history of seizures, cannot receive microcurrent.

60 Minutes — $100

These sessions blend MLD with vagal nerve stimulation* for ultimate relaxation. To stimulate the vagus nerve, microcurrent is applied to the ear, with an electrode placed on the wrist. VNS therapy is designed to counter the stress response, to promote relaxation, manage pain, improve sleep quality, and support digestion.

*Those with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, or a history of seizures, cannot receive microcurrent.

The patented technology of LymphaTouch® combines negative pressure and mechanical high-frequency vibration, which activates lymphatic circulation and soft tissues in the treated area.

For those clients requiring it, lymphatic taping targets the dermis and superficial fascia to lift the skin in order to reduce swelling and inflammation. Taping improves circulation, including lymphatic flow, and enhances the body’s natural healing processes. I use Kinesio Tex Light Touch tape, which is gentle for all skin types (it is latex free and hypoallergenic).
