How often should I have lymphatic drainage?

This depends entirely on your health goals and physical needs.

Post-surgical recovery. Do 2 to 3 times per week for the first few weeks, then taper off as healing progresses (always with doctor approval).

Lymphedema or chronic swelling. Do 2 to 3 times per week initially to manage swelling, moving to once every 1 to 2 weeks once symptoms improve. Self-drainage can often be done daily.

Sports and muscle recovery. Do every 1 to 2 weeks to help clear metabolic waste and reduce soreness.

General wellness and maintenance. Do every 3 to 4 weeks to support relaxation and general fluid balance.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not contracted with any insurance carriers. As a stage 3 lipedema patient, I myself have been the recipient of years of lymph drainage, without much success. My goal is to provide services outside of the standard plan of care for those with lymph disorders. I also want to be available to those without insurance coverage.

Lower cost. My rates are below average in the area in our in order to stay more accessible.

Parasympathetic stimulation. In lieu of the stark medical environment usually found in physical and occupational therapy clinics, I try to bring a more spa-like atmosphere to encourage relaxation in order to decrease inflammatory response by calming the nervous system and lowering stress hormone levels.

Lymph taping. Taping is always included as needed during sessions.

Scar tissue release. Despite the presence of scars limiting lymphatic movement, this therapy is not offered with standardized care plans.

Reflexology and Reiki. Many have discovered added benefits with these modalities, and they can be included in care plans.
