Complementary and alternative medicine are the terms for modalities that are not part of standard medical care and are not substitutes for medical advice or treatment from a qualified physician.

Lymphatic Drainage

Treatment times are of full duration instead of shortened “spa” hours or time limits placed by insurance companies on occupational or physical therapy visits.

I utilize the Vodder technique and am certified through Klose Training. MLD involves a very light touch that should never be painful, and it is effective for lipedema, lymphedema, preop, postop and cancer clients, for detoxing and general health, and is useful in healing from cosmetic surgery.

Please leave all jewelry and other valuable items at home. Please remove necklaces and earrings for lymphatic work, as the neck, décolleté, and ears need to be accessible for this type of massage.

Please hydrate well prior your session, after the session, and on the following day, as this will help hydrate fascia, improve energy levels, and support the liver and kidneys in flushing out toxins. Please avoid caffeine and large meals before any session.

Lymphatic drainage requires skin-to-skin contact to be effective. Underwear is left on, or swimwear or athletic wear can be worn. Clients are covered with a sheet during the session and a blanket as needed. Privacy is always maintained.

…………..…………..…………..

Massage is contraindicated in individuals with acute infections, fever, infectious skin conditions, recent surgery or acute injury, bleeding disorders or blood thinners, deep venous thrombosis, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent heart attack, liver failure, renal failure, and active cancer or tumors.

Manual Lymph Drainage Massage
Upper Body, 30 Minutes — $50
Full Body, 60 Minutes — $85

MLD focuses on the lymphatic system — in the area between the skin and muscle.

Manual Lymph Drainage Massage with Lymph Reflexology
Upper Body, 60 Minutes — $75
Full Body, 90 Minutes — $115

MLD focuses on the lymphatic system — in the area between the skin and muscle. Following MLD, reflexology stimulates reflex points in a unique sequence which aids the function of the lymphatic system.

Manual Lymph Drainage Massage with Scar Release
Upper Body, 60 Minutes — $65
Full Body, 90 Minutes — $105

MLD focuses on the lymphatic system — in the area between the skin and muscle. Scar release therapy applies concentrated microcurrents (no needles) to fibrotic scar tissue in order to increase circulation and lymph movement in scarred areas.

Those with pacemakers or other electronic devices, or a history of seizures, cannot receive microcurrent.

Lymphatic Taping
15 Minutes — Complimentary

For those clients requiring it, lymphatic taping targets the dermis and superficial fascia to lift the skin in order to reduce swelling and inflammation. Taping improves circulation, including lymphatic flow, and enhances the body’s natural healing processes. I use Kinesio Tex Light Touch tape, which is gentle for all skin types (it is latex free and hypoallergenic).
