Deep tissue oscillation therapy is a type of non-invasive electrotherapy. It uses a low-frequency, low-intensity pulsed electrostatic field (5–250 Hz) to create gentle, rhythmic vibrations deep within tissues — up to 8 cm — to reduce pain, inflammation, and edema while accelerating healing.

Key Aspects

Mechanism. It works via an electrostatic field created between the therapist’s hands (using vinyl gloves) and the patient, who holds a titanium grounding bar. The tissue is attracted and released 5–250 times per second, acting on muscles, blood vessels, and connective tissue.

Unique Action. Unlike traditional electrotherapy that stimulates muscles/nerves, it uses electrostatic attraction to move tissue internally, breaking down fibrosis, draining lymphatic fluid, and reducing swelling.

Uses. It is commonly applied in rehabilitation for post-surgical recovery, acute trauma (sprains/bruises), chronic pain, and sports injuries.

Benefits. It provides a painless, gentle, and relaxing treatment that is safe for both acute and chronic conditions.

This therapy is often used to treat conditions like scar tissue, edema, fibromyalgia, and post-operative recovery.
